KLOSTERMAN, Mildred Arline ., age 90 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Stonespring of Vandalia. She was born March 10, 1926 in Piqua, OH, daughter of the late Fred & Helen (Alberts) Pottorf. Arline was a graduate of Piqua High School, Class of 1943, was a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua, and has been a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church since 1954. Arline was an avid animal lover, enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening, boating, camping, skiing and roller skating and was also a trained beautician. Preceded in death by 1 sister, Margie Garver and 1 infant brother, Thomas Pottorf, Arline is survived by her husband of 71 years, James E. Klosterman; 3 children, Trudy Matheny (Jerry), Terry Kuck (Mike) and Tom Klosterman (Barb); 8 grandchildren, Brian Erisman, Stacie Lohr (Sean), Kim Saldana, Eric Matheny (Tracy), Kelly Duckworth, Jeff Bergstrom (Michelle), Missy Waltos (Steve), Erin Kuck (Travis); 13 great-grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Carmen, Jase, Ryan, Landon, Millie, Carter, Jaxon, Macey, Taylor, Troy, & Lolo, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 26 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Rd., Vandalia with Fr. John Tonkin officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Piqua, OH. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Arline’s name to the Autism Society of Dayton, 4801 Springfield St., Dayton, OH 45431 in honor of her great-granddaughter, Millie. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
