Mildred V Lawhun

LAWHUN, Mildred V., age 87 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Trinity Community of Beavercreek. She was born June 8, 1922 in Vanceburg, KY, daughter of the late William & Josephine Shepherd. Mildred was a part-time employee of the Mad River School District for 19 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Lawhun in 2007 and 1 son, Paul Elden. Mildred is survived by 1 daughter & son-in-law, Theda & Harry Stacy of Tipp City; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Richard & Kathy Lawhun of Lakewood, OH & Neil & Susan Lawhun of Beavercreek; 9 grandchildren, Shelly & husband, David Hopson, Holly Stacy, Ryan & wife, Jane Stacy, Beth & husband, Regan Longstreet, Sarah, Anne, Gregory, Lauren & Rebecca Lawhun; 2 great-grandchildren, Evan & Lily Stacy and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, October 19, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Rick Washburn officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 pm until time of service.
