Miriam Shellhause

SHELLHAUSE, Miriam C., age 73, of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born December 13, 1933 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Raymond W. & Mary E. (Eckerl) Pope. Miriam was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and sang with the St. Chris Choir for over 40 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. in 2002, 1 sister, Marie Petersen and 1 brother, Raymond Pope, Miriam is survived by 2 daughters, Roni Marie & husband, Daniel Crocker of KY, and Kim & husband, Gary Schinder of Union; 1 son, Michael & wife, Dara Shellhause of Lebanon; 8 grandchildren, Aaron, Samantha, Adam, Matthew, Claire, Karoline, Wade & Leah; 2 sisters, Carol Pope of MD, and Valeria Buchanan of KS, and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 23, at 11:00am at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Frances Keferl officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr, Vandalia on Thursday evening from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the OSU Medical Center " James Hall Cancer Center in Miriams memory.
