Mitzi Ann Makenas

Makenas, Mitzi Ann (Conn), age 53, of Vandalia, daughter of the late John and Wilmajean Conn, passed away November 24, 2009 at her home, in the loving arms of her family. Mitzi is survived by her husband Robert, and her devoted children Adam Makenas, Cheri Castillo (Thor), Drew Makenas, her grandson, Tyrus Castillo and sisters, Sandra Gerber (Richard), Linda Spargo (JamesIV) and Wendy Plochocki (Joe) and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mitzis Hospice Care Team, especially Angie. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 27, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, it was Mitzis request that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.
