CAMPBELL, MURIEL (MICKEY) age 83 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday November 14, 2010 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born June 2, 1927 in Wayland, KY, daughter of the late Ralph & Eula Salmons. She worked for many years at the Garden Gallery in North Dayton drying and preserving flowers. She loved playing cards with her friends, bowling, sewing, wood carving and staining glass. Muriel was preceded in death by her husband, Donald V. Campbell Sr. in 1999, her son Charles Jeffery in 2006; & 3 brothers Ben, Jimmy and Ralph Salmons Jr. Muriel is survived by her son Donald & his wife Teresa Campbell of Lewis Center, OH; 1 granddaughter, Makenzie R.; 1 grandson, Corey J.; Special Friend Bob Chenoweth; 1 sister, Irene and husband John Wolford; 2 brothers Bill & wife Joan Salmons, John Salmons and numerous nieces, nephews, & friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Morton and Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. Burial at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until time of services at 1:30 PM. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Miami Valley Hospital for the excellent care given to Muriel during her illness. If so desired contributions may be made to the Heart Association or the Lung Association in Muriels memory.
