Nancy M. Pratt

Age 76, of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019, at The Hospice of Dayton.

Nancy was born January 9, 1943 in Medina, Ohio to the late Lester & Evelyn (Strong) Wearsch.

Nancy was a 50 year-plus member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. She taught for 33 years in the Vandalia School System and loved going on cruises and traveling, especially to visit and vacation with long-time dear friends in Lichtenfels, Germany. Nancy was also active with the Vandalia Sister Cities and for the past 17 years, she and her husband, Roger, spent their winters in The Villages, Florida where they made many good friends and created many wonderful memories.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of the past 51 years, Roger W. Pratt; two children, Renee Kistler and Ryan Pratt (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Justin, Kylie & Avery; three siblings, Carol Keck (Emerson), Marcia Blevins & Ralph Wearsch; and by numerous nieces & nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday (1/24) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. John Tonkin at 11:00 a.m., Friday (1/25) at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 East National Road, Vandalia. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
