Nancy C. Ryan

Age 84, of Tipp City, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024. She was born December 25, 1939 in Dayton to the late Wilmer & Ruth Rohler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Dennis Ryan, in 2017.

Nancy was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and later St. Christopher Catholic Church for over 50 years. During that time she and her husband served as Mass coordinators and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Nancy served for many decades on the St. Christopher Bereavement Committee. Nancy graduated from the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and worked for several years in the nursing field. She will be remembered by her family as being a wonderful baker and she was well known for her incredible macaroni salad. Her greatest joy was in spending time with her children & grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by three children, Kevin Ryan and his wife, Patty, Kelly Luken & her husband, Dale and Terri Ryan-Albrecht & her husband, Scott; four grandchildren, Emily & Molly Luken and Jarod & Maggie Ryan; her beloved dog, Roxie; and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 – 11:30 am, Friday, November 15, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 East National Road, Vandalia. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am by Rev. Fr. Andrew Smith. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Tipp City.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Melinda, caregiver Amanda, both from the Enclave of Springboro and to the staff of Day City Hospice for the loving care they provided to Nancy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Nancy to either Day City Hospice, or any hospice of the donor’s choice, or to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
