Nellie R. Tillett

Tillett, Nellie Ruth, age 98, of Huber Heights went to be with her Lord in Heaven on March 30, 2016, at Hospice of Dayton. Nellie was born in Eaton, Ohio to John A. & Cora E. Green and was the 7th of 10 children. Nellie enjoyed time with her family and friends and, with her husband Bill, enjoyed bowling and playing cards. In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles W. Tillett in 1974, as well as her eight sisters and one brother. Nellie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol L. & Lee A. Jackson, her son and daughter-in-law, Charles M. & Mary M. Tillett, her daughter, Debbie Franz, grandchildren Mendy Jackson Norman (Phil), Chris Jackson Oswald (Matt), Teri Jackson Russell (Bill), Michael Franz (Jessica), John Franz, and Billy Tillett, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and best friend Eleanor Holesovsky, as well as nieces and nephews who will all cherish their memories of her. The family will receive friends April 5, 2016, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia, Ohio, 45377, from 11am to 1pm, with services following at 1pm at the funeral home. Pastor David Starry of First Baptist Church of Vandalia will officiate. Burial will be at Polk Grove Cemetery in Butler Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
