Netty Yount

YOUNT, Netty G., age 75 of Riverside, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital.  She was born February 5, 1946 in Keokee, Virginia, daughter of the late Gregory G. & Dorothy (Casteel) Galloway.  Netty served as the Program Coordinator for Undergraduate Studies at Wright State University, was a member of the First Light Church, Vandalia and loved crafting, listening to gospel music, visiting with her sisters, and just loved to talk.  Preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Gregory Galloway and her youngest sister, Rosa Rector, Netty is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, James; 2 daughters, Stacie Musselman (John) and Sara Jones (Kevin); 5 grandchildren, Allison, Matthew, Dylan, Oscar & Liam; her brother, Jake Galloway (Sue); her twin sister, Betty Mills and her sister, Wilma Lovely (Paul); brother-in-law, David Rector; along with the numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that she held dear to her heart.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 1, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor David Starry officiating.  Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-7 pm.   If so desired, contributions may be made to Matthew 25:Ministries, 11060 Kenwood Rd, Blue Ash, OH 45242.
