Nora Jane (Cassady) Mendenhall

Nora Jane Mendenhall

Age 68, of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023.

Nora was born June 19, 1955 in Dayton to the late Harold Penrod & Eugenia Fawn (Drake) Cassady. She was a graduate of Trotwood-Madison High School and the Ohio Institute of Photography. She worked as a photographer & developer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Nora was a very talented Blue Grass musician having played several instruments (especially guitar) and at one time sang Blue Grass songs on the radio.

Nora is survived by one son, Kenny Wayne Mendenhall, Jr.; one sister, Paula J. Cassady; and by her extended family & many good friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 18, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Trotwood. Pastor Benjamin Prill (Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church) officiating.

Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
