Norma F. Griesmeyer

Norma R. Griesmeyer Age 99, of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 10 days after her husband of 77 years, George J., passed away. Norma was born January 3, 1916 in Dayton to the late Howard & Laura (Kelly) Emert. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell & Roy Emert; and by one sister, Doreta Pollitt. Norma was a member of the Huber Heights Senior Citizens and for over 25 years she was active with the exercise class through Sinclair Community College. For many years she worked with her husband at Oberers Flowers specializing in bridal work. She is survived by one son, George C. (Jackie) Griesmeyer; grandson, Marc Griesmeyer; and by nieces & nephews, Judy Chapman, Neil Emert, Lois Tate, Dick Pollitt, Donna Frith, Susan Bartlett, Jerry Emert & Sandra Nolen. Visitation will be from 12 - 1:00 p.m., Monday (1/19) at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with interment at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton. If desired, contributions may be made to the Huber Heights Senior Citizens Center.
