KUHN, Norma J., age 86 of Vandalia passed away Friday, April 14, 2017. She was born May 31, 1931 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Henry C. & Katherine (Dublin) Vandiver. Norma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, friend and everything in between. She had a passion for life and loved everyone she came to know. She was at one time an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Dayton and spent countless hours as a loving “Volunteer Grandma” rocking babies in the NICU at Miami Valley Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband, John D. Kuhn; her son, John Carl Kuhn; an infant brother, Carl, brother, Arthur and sisters, Betty Huddleston & Virginia Hill, Norma is survived by 3 daughters, Kathleen D. Reynolds of Huntsville, Cynthia J. Janeway of Vandalia & Teresa L. Jones (Danny) of Dayton; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Larry Reynolds and a host of other relatives, neighbors, and good friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 20 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm. The family would like to offer a special heartfelt thanks to the Heartland Hospice nurses & staff who have been guardian angels to the Kuhn family.
