DePaul, Norval Layton, age 87, of Butler Twp., passed away Friday, March 23, 2012. He was born July 17, 1924 in Utica, New York, son of the late Pasquale & Angeline (DePerro) DePaul. Norval was a retired Supply Analyst with WPAFB, a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Marines, was a member of the AmVets Post #99, American Legion Post #668 and the VFW Post #9582. He was a member of the Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, was an avid baseball fan and loved bowling, golf, fishing and woodworking. Norval is survived by his wife of 65 years, Florence (Gibson) DePaul; 1 son, Mark DePaul (Vicki); 2 daughters, Mary Pat Price (Greg) & Sally Rose (Greg); 1 sister, Patricia Farley (Dave); sister-in-law, Peg Gibson; 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Private family services will be held. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or St. Judes Childrens Hospital in Norvals memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
