Norvin C. Wells

WELLS, Norvin C., age 96 of Tipp City, went to be in the hands of the Lord on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the Springcreek Nursing Center in Huber Heights, OH. He died peacefully and was surrounded by family. He was born June 21, 1914 in Cannel City, KY, son of the late Amos & Stella Wells. Norvin was a US Army veteran of WWII, was a retired employee of the Chrysler Corporation with 30 years of service, and was a member of the West Charleston Church of the Brethren. Preceded in death by brothers, Elwood & Elbert Wells and sisters, Thelma Allen & Erma Berry, and sons Gary and Bradley Wells. Norvin is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Myrtle; children, Jan Rogers (Roger), Marilyn Peterson (Larry), Gordon L. Wells (Lana), Teresa Gregory (J.R.) and Michael Wells; 2 sisters, Jewell Spicer (Al) & Linda Cole (Gene); 1 brother, Loren Wells (Barb); 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 20 at the West Charleston Church of the Brethren, 4817 State Route 202, Tipp City, Ohio with Pastor Burt Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9 am until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the West Charleston Church of the Brethren in Norvins memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
