Garwood, Patricia Ann
Passed away peacefully at the age of 75, surrounded by family at her home in West Carrollton, Ohio on Dec 11th, 2018.
Patricia was born in Piqua, Ohio to the late Charles and Mary Lou Cox. Patricia is survived by her daughter Ginger Kuhn (Bill), son Tim Garwood (Lesa) and daughter Nicole Zehner (Tom) and grandchildren Hannah and Tim Garwood, Sarah, Wilson and Nathanael Kuhn, Rebecca Synoground (Ryan), Dylan and Ashley Zehner, and Melanie and TJ Gray.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, brother Chuck Cox (Lynn) and brother-in-law Steve Lind (Connie).
Patricia was a 1961 graduate of Piqua High School and went on to complete her Associates degree in accounting at Miami Jacobs College. While employed by multiple companies throughout her life, Patricia spent the majority of her career with the Mead Corporation where she retired in 2004.
Patricia battled lung cancer for the last five years and a hard-fought battle it was. Throughout numerous chemo therapies, radiation and surgery, she was still able to get around and enjoy many of her treasured things in life. Patricia always looked forward to her trips to Piqua to be with family, lunches with her dearest friend Lynn, daily trips for a Coke, and continued visits with her children and grandchildren. Patricia was a most devoted mother and made it her top priority to be a part of as many cherished moments with her family as her health would allow. She always put her children's well-being first and did everything within her abilities to ensure they had secure futures and a place to always return to and call home.
Family will receive visitors at Morton Whetstone Funeral home from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, January 19, 2019. A service to celebrate her life will begin at 4pm at the same location.
Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
