Patricia Anne Kunz

We celebrate the life of Patricia Anne Kunz, who passed away on June 11, 2016 at the age of 86. Patricia, known as “Pat” was born on June 22, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio. She was the oldest of three children born to Barney and Naomi Armstrong. After graduating from Vandalia Butler High School, she worked in the offices of Ohio Bell for a short while then left work to raise her four children. Her hobbies included playing the piano and the organ, and she used this talent to play for Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 65 years. She loved children, and was also involved in the children’s ministries for many, many years.

She had a knack to talk to anyone, anywhere – she didn’t know a stranger. No matter how many years had spanned since your last meeting with her, she would make you feel like it was just yesterday. Always gracious, she opened her home to anyone at any time. She was a great encouragement to many by all of the cards she sent. She never missed birthdays, or anniversaries, and was quick to send a note of encouragement whenever someone needed it.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother Terrence Armstrong. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald Kunz, as well as her four children: Greg Kunz, Becky (Greg) Cook, Lee Kunz, and Charlene (Steve) Molnar; her brother Larry (Jacquie) Armstrong; her sister-in-law Jean Armstrong; her grandchildren Jen (Brian) Pond, Laurie (Kevin) Cyrus, Shelly (Marc) Belcastro, and Aaron (Nicole) Cook; her great-grandchildren Riley & Savannah Pond, Lux & Violet Belcastro, and Landon & Annabelle Cook, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and their families.

The Celebration of the Life of Patricia Anne Kunz will take place on Saturday, June 18th at 11:00am ET, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, located at 1501 E Third Street, Dayton, OH 45403.
