Patsy (Gabbard) Griffith

July 17, 1938 - September 14, 2018

God recalled his angel to heaven, September 14, 2018. In Patsy's final days she was surrounded by family and friends, remembering the love, laughter and fellowship she shared throughout the 80 years God lent us his angel.

Patsy lived a wonderful life. Her marriage to her high school sweetheart, RC Griffith, for 63 years was an inspiration to everyone who knew them. She was a retiree of General Motors of 32 years. She was an active member of the Moraine City First Church of God where she served as President and Vice President of the Women's group and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible school for 15 years.

Patsy’s love was abundant and immense. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. Friends of the grandkids would call her “Nana”. Her Sunday School kids called her “Miss Patsy” and often stopped by to see her after they graduated.

Patsy is survived by her husband RC; her sisters Sallie Ward and Lois Watkins. She leaves behind her children Butch (Judy) Griffith and Carole (Paul) White and grandchildren Ashlee (David) Thompson, Nicholas (Emily) Winkle, Richie (Kristen) Griffith, Dan (Sarah) Griffith, John Griffith, and Anastasia White and great grandchildren Hannah Thompson, Vannessa Thompson, Kaylee Winkle, Sophia Winkle, Cameron Winkle, Peyton Griffith, Karlee Griffith, Owen Griffith Blake Vedder, Reagan Griffith-Burchfield, Theo Griffith. Patsy did not know the term “extended family”; everyone was family. She was survived by her brother-in-law Pat (Betty) Hollan. Niece and Nephews: JB (Emma) Watkins, Steve Watkins, Mark Ward, Tonya Ward, Diane Watkins and Christopher (Christine) Hollan, Great Nieces and nephews: Brooke Watkins, Kristi Watkins, Julie (Dustin) Brown, Aislinn Watkins, Cody Watkins, Jessica Watkins, Beth Watkins, Lauren Ward, Joey Hollan, Lincoln Brown and Finley Brown.

She was proceeded in death by her father Carl Gabbard, mother Minnie Osborn Gabbard, daughter Pauline Griffith Winkle, and nephew Lyn Watkins.

Although we are sad she is no longer beside us, we know she is home in heaven with her family and friends in the loving arms of Jesus.
