PROCTOR, Paul H., age 80 of Harrison Twp., passed away Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Vandalia Park Care Center after a lengthy illness. He was born December 11, 1924 in Crawfordsville, IN, son of the late Curtis & Mary Proctor. Paul was a retired printer from the Dayton Daily News and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam era. He was a member of the VFW Post #5018, American Legion Post #613, the combined Honor Guard and was an avid bowler for many years. Paul is survived by his wife of 22 years, Audrey F. (Grant) Proctor; 3 daughters, Tamara & husband, Michael Sweeney of Englewood, Victoria Wright of Dayton, Bonnie Waymire of Dayton; 1 brother, Donald of IN; 2 sisters-in-law, Peggy & Virginia and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 6 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor James Grant Sr. officiating. Burial to follow Polk Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Pauls memory.
