Pauline M Wheeler

WHEELER, Pauline M., age 92 of Vandalia passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 22, 1917 in Athens County, OH, daughter of the late Fred & Emma (Harold) Wolf. Pauline was the former Owner & Operator of Livelys Clothing Store, was a charter member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, and an active member of both the Vandalia Lioness & Vandalia Senior Citizens Center. Preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Wheeler in 1987, Pauline is survived by 5 children, Terry & wife, Sue Wheeler and Ruth & husband, Steve Detrick, both of McCormick, SC, John & wife, Diana Wheeler of the Plains, OH, Sue & husband, Perry Pyle of Colorado Springs, CO and Paula & husband, Pete Houvouras of Vandalia; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 15 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Wednesday evening from 5-8 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to St. Christopher Catholic Church, the Vandalia Lioness Group or the Vandalia Senior Citizens Center in Paulines memory.
