Phyllis J. Duncan

Age 82, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024, at The Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. Phyllis was born April 16, 1942 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Fred & Morine (Dunn) McIntosh. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Duncan; two brothers, James & William McIntosh; and one sister, Alice Shafer.

Phyllis served as a foster parent to numerous children over the course of 20 years, some of which still hold a special place in her heart, including Dan Bell, Chris Michael, John Clark & the Kroeger children.

Phyllis is survived by one daughter, Laura Hoff & her husband, Dan; two grandchildren, Ashley (Scott) & Mark Guinn; two sisters, Cathey (Hershel) Collins & Mary McIntosh; one brother, Tim McIntosh; brother-in-law, Don Shafer; sister-in-law, Helen Duncan; and by her extended family & many good friends.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Polk Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Phyllis to The Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties.
