Phyllis J Griffith

GRIFFITH, Phyllis J., age 92, of Friendship Village, formerly of Butler Twp., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. She was born May 30, 1923 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Harry & Marie Reehl. Phyllis was a piano and voice teacher who had a profound impact on the lives of hundreds of students over the course of six decades from the 1940's through the 1990's. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John Griffith; her son, Terry Griffith of Sausalito, CA; grandson, Jeff Griffith of Houston TX and great-granddaughter, Maeve Griffith of Houston, TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 8, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm.
