Ralph Drake

Ralph Drake, age 75 of Vandalia, passed away suddenly on January 17, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident in Louisville, Kentucky. Ralph was born in Campton, Kentucky on September 18, 1936. He was a graduate of Wolfe County High School and Eastern Kentucky University. He was a retired accountant for Delphi and Inland Manufacturing. Ralph was also a United States Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Beverly, three daughters and sons-in-laws, Tracy and Scott Uzzel of Tipp City, Teri and Joe Woods of Cincinnati, and Jeanne and Joe Rankin of Clarkston, Michigan, six grandchildren, Jack and Abby Rankin, Andy and Allie Uzzel and Elizabeth and Nick Woods, one sister, Bonnie Carr, and one brother, Bill Drake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Malvra Drake, five brothers, Verner, Edward, Lester, Kernell and Herrington Drake, and two sisters, Geneva Tyra and Golden Brown. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 24 at The First Baptist Church of Vandalia, 145 Elva Ct. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service.
