Ralph Homan

HOMAN, Ralph John, 82, of Vandalia, OH died 11/21/09. Born 10/26/1927 in Burkettsville, OH to John and Anna (Macke) Homan. Survivors include: wife Patricia of Vandalia, sons Vincent (Mary) Homan and David (Michelle) Homan, and daughters Diane (Dan) Judy and Christine (Dean) Fornshil, stepsons Jeffrey (Wanda) Rice and Darrell (Linda) Rice, stepdaughters Pamela (Eric) Wagner and Lorri (Rodney) Stephens, 8 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and brother-in-law William Coughlin. Ralph is preceded in death by: his parents, his brothers and sisters-in-law Alphonse (Olive), Sylvester (Madonna), Robert (Florence), and Paul (Mary Ellen), sister and brother-in-law Henrietta (John) Anderson and sister Ruth Coughlin. Ralph was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a retired toolmaker. Ralph enjoyed gardening, traveling and camping, and woodworking. He will be remembered most for his love of fine automobiles, meticulous wine making, and the fine woodcrafts he provided to his loved ones and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at St. Christophers Catholic Church, Vandalia. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 am until time of Mass. Burial Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
