Raymond L. Arden, Sr.
Age 93, of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital. Ray was born December 4, 1927 to Earl Elmer & Mary (Mitchell) Arden. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Ray, Jr. in 2016 and by several siblings.
Ray retired from McCall’s – Dayton Press with 35 years of service and he was a U. S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife of the past 73 years, Betty Ann (Walters) Arden; three sons, Steve (Sheryl), Tim (Carol) and Randy (Carol); sister-in-law, Evelyn Arden; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Katie, Hannah, Ben, Chris, Josh & Lyndsey; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Ray was a long-time member of the First Church of the Nazarene located at 7031 N. Main St., Dayton, Ohio 45415. Visitation will be from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, on Friday (2/26) at the church. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Stanley Ward officiating. Interment will be at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
