Raymond E. Royse Jr.

ROYSE, Raymond E. Jr., age 74 of Dayton, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. Ray was born February 16, 1938 in Demossville, KY, son of the late Raymond E. Sr. & Sarah (Covington) Royse. Ray was a U.S. Marine Veteran, a member of the Army Reserve and National Guard, a life member of the NRA and the current Commander of the American Legion Post #5 in Dayton. Preceded in death by his brother, Harold Shorty Royse and his lifelong companion, Mary Fritz Miller, Ray is survived by 5 brothers, Robert (Carol), Thomas (Janice), Ralph (Janet), Lloyd and Paul (Kim); Fritz's son, Robert Miller, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 16 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm.
