Rebecca R Leach

LEACH, Rebecca R., (Gierek), age 49 of New Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She worked alongside her husband for 11 years building their successful business, Signature Concrete, Inc. in Vandalia. Becky was a member of Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church and a member of the Noble Circle. She was full of boundless energy with a real love for life. Preceded in death by her father, Robert Gierek, grandparents, Albert & Ruth Niswonger and Walter & Olive Gierek, Rebecca is survived by her husband, Michael W. Leach; her son, Shawn Brady & wife, Amy of West Milton, her daughter, Sarah Brady of New Carlisle; 3 grandchildren, Blake, Madison, & Michael; her mother, Carol L Gierek of Vandalia; her sister, Karen Murphy & husband, Greg of SC and their children, Jessica & Ryan; her brother, Brad Gierek of Kettering, & his children, Jessica, Miranda & Eli; mother-in-law, Helen Leach of Fairborn; brother-in-law, Steve Leach & wife, Sandy of New Carlisle; sister-in-law, Wilma Walker of West Carrollton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, October 17, at Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church " South Campus, with Pastor Ron Bogle officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Thursday evening from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Rebeccas memory. May her strength and fortitude be an inspiration to us all.
