Rev. Wallace Lee “Wally” Clingan
Age 88, of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020, at the Hospice of Miami County Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. Wally was born January 7, 1932 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Harold Leroy & Dorothy L. (Ilo) Clingan. He was born again on July 17, 1952 at the former First Baptist Church in Tipp City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl E. Clingan.
Wally served as a Baptist Minister for 28 years, was very involved in church activities. He is currently a member of Lifeway Baptist Church in Tipp City.
Wally is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, May E. (Davis) Clingan; three sons, Paul Clingan & his wife, Leslie, John Clingan & his wife, Greta and Daniel Lee Clingan & his wife, Catherine; four grandchildren, Katlyn, Matthew, Seth & Jacob; sister-in-law, Loretta Clingan; aunt, Gladys Clingan Metz; and by his extended family, his church family & many good friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City. Pastor Wil Brown of Lifeway Baptist Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Wally to Lifeway Baptist Church, 445 W. Evanston Road, Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia, is in charge of arrangements.
