ALLISON, Richard M. Butch , age 75 of Tipp City, born, November 8, 1937, went to his eternal home on Monday, October 7, 2013 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his father, George Allison, mother, Edith (Galbreath) Allison Tobin, an infant daughter, Kelli Rae, and infant grandson, Blake Willke. Butch is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy (Yount) Allison. They were married at Sugar Grove Church in Frederick, OH where they were long time members. Butch has four daughters, Kerri (Robert) Voelkel, Melissa (Bob) Day, Melinda Spieles, and Angela (Ed) Willke; nine grandchildren, Ryan & Megan Trapp & Josh Voelkel, Tad & Allison Day, Derrick (Ashley) & Tyler Spieles, Lindsey & Olivia Willke, great-grandchild, Cassady Schultheis. Butch is also survived by a brother, George Allison of Huber Heights, a sister, Jane Lucas of FL, sister, Shirley (Joe) Loeffelman of Bellbrook, sister, Wanda (Bill) Miller of SC; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Butch attended Dayton City Schools (McGuffey Grade School). He was a graduate of Kiser High School Class of 1956 and was Class President his Jr & Sr years. He excelled at all sports and was a member of Kisers first and only City basketball championship team. After graduating, he headed up his Alumni Committee to plan reunions with his beloved classmates. He was employed by Globe Industries from 1956-1978, where he finished his apprenticeship as a machine builder and repairman. He later became Foreman of the machine shop and served a term as president for Globes Union. Instead of relocating out of state when it became TRW, Butch chose employment at General Motors in Kettering. He worked in Skilled Trades from 1978 until this retirement in 1999. Butch loved reading his Bible, golfing, working puzzles, vacationing in Destin, FL and family times together. The family will receive friends at Community Bible Church, 1427 W. Main St, Tipp City on Friday evening from 5:30-8:30 pm. The Celebration of Life funeral service will also be held at the church on Saturday, October 12 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jeff Seekins officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. If so desired, contributions may be made to Community Bible Church Missions or World Vision, a charity close to Butchs heart. Envelopes will be available at the services. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
