KORBER, Richard L. “Dick” age 71, of Tipp City, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 in the Hospice Unit at Upper Valley Medical Center. Dick was born May 29, 1945 in Dayton, son of the late Louis & Norma (Ortman) Korber. He is survived by his wife, Connie; 1 son, Luke (Kristy) Korber; 1 daughter, Kandi (Chad) Wheeler; 2 brothers, Jim (Carol) Korber and Bill (Joan) Korber; 1 sister, Carol Santamaria & his grandson, Ozzy Wheeler.
He is also survived by brothers-in-law, John (Peggy) Stickel, and Jim (Margie) Stickel; sister-in-law, Gail Smith; nephews: Ben Korber, Tony Santamaria, Jeff Kloos, Andy Smith, Brian Stickel, Eric Stickel; nieces: Emily Gerdes, Jessica Bland, Karla Lash, Alison Roop, Cobey Almand, Amy Nemeth, Leslie Budding, Laura Tobias, Marianne Gallaher, Cathy Stickel, and lifelong friend, Jim Traufler. Dick loved life and having fun. His friends and family meant everything to him.
The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Thursday, January 26 from 4- 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vandalia-Butler Athletic Department in Dick’s memory.
