Richard Snell

SNELL, Richard Allen POP , age 67 of Troy, passed away Thursday June 21, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton following an illness. He was born March 8, 1940 in Dayton, son of Frank and Edna (Kirkland) Jeffery Snell. Richard was a 30year employee of Harrison Radiator Div. of GM and was a member of the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by one brother Paul T Snell, and one sister Lorraine Tankersley Payton. He is survived by one daughter Kelly & husband Reese Purcell; 2 sons Barry & wife Linda Snell and Gary & wife Pam Snell; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers Frank & wife Betty Jeffery of Kettering, Frank Sherman & wife Darlene Snell of Dayton, Robert L. & wife Darline Snell of Englewood, Kenneth L. Snell of Celina; a sister-in-law Donna Snell of Beavercreek. Also surviving is Richards wife of 22 years Janet (Maggard) Snell and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Monday June 25 at 1:00pm at Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Mr. Snells memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home.
