Richard "Dick" Weaver

WEAVER, Richard L., “Dick”, passed away Monday Nov 7, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Connie, and 2 sons Richard A (Teri) and Daniel L (Teri), 3 grandchildren Chelsea Hack (Jay), Kyle, & Katie Whaley (Robert); 1 brother, 1 sister, and several nieces and nephews. Dick was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Vandalia Masonic Lodge 742 F&AM. He retired from AT&T in 1987. Dick was the founder of Vandalia Pee Wee Football, and was a devoted Buckeye Fan. He was honored during a football game for being on the “chain gang” for 42 years at Butler High School. He could carry on a conversation with anybody and looked forward to going to GSN rehab 3 times a week. He was always proud to have served during Operation Castle. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 am, on Thursday, November 10 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30 am with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating.
