Robert D. Anderson

ANDERSON, Robert D., age 87 of Vandalia passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Cypress Pointe Health Center in Englewood. Robert was born December 25, 1929 in Union City, IN, son of the late Claude & Luella Anderson. He was a member of the Vandalia Masonic Lodge 742 F&AM and was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean Anderson, 2 sisters, Eileen & Frances, and 2 brothers, Lee & Harold, Robert is survived by his loving companion, Ann Hoff; 3 daughters, Bonnie Tate (Paul), Cheryl Arndts & Kelley Huston (Terry), all of Vandalia; 4 grandchildren, Rusty (Mandi) Smith, Cory (Tiff) McKinney, Eric (Rebecca) Arndts & Ashley (Brian) Warren; 8 great-grandchildren, Dalton, JAce, Karlee, Kyson, Avery, Emma, Abigail & Wyatt, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. It was Robert’s wish that his body be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 pm, Friday, February 3 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4:30 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Robert’s memory.
