BLAIR, Robert Wilson, age 80 of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at his residence. He was born August 25, 1927 in Dayton, son of the late David R. & Verna M. Blair. Robert was a retired foreman from Inland Div. of GM with 35 years of service. He was a member of the GM Retirees Club, Trans Am Club, and he loved his Pontiac cars, especially his 1973 Firehawk Trans Am SD 455. He was an avid Nascar fan and a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Meredia (Jones) Blair; his children, Warren (Marilyn) Blair of AZ, Barbara (Dave) Stagner of OK, Michael Blair of OK and their mother, Clora; 1 sister, Jean (Robert) Smith of Beavercreek; 4 grandsons, David Stagner, Bradley (Sarah) Stagner, Robert Wesley Blair, Nathan Blair; 3 great-granddaughters, Aspen, Emerie, & Jaycee; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Claude & Lora Jones of TN and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and great neighbors. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, July 15 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor David Starry officiating. Entombment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Roberts memory.
