Robert "Bob" Bolte

BOLTE, Robert Daniel "Bob", age 86, of Vandalia, passed away peacefully on November 3rd, 2012. He was born July 2, 1926 in Bellevue KY to the late Robert and Margaret (Tehan) Bolte. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia K., and children Bob (Aida), Mary Ann (Terry) Toon, Tom (Helen), Phil, Peggy (Jim) Shirk, and Matthew; 6 Grandchildren Alan Bolte and Laura Bolte, Sarah (Alex) Moore, Michael Shirk, Ryan Shirk and Alex Shirk. Bob is also survived by sister, Mildred Egan of Columbus and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law: Marjorie (William) Kelly, Marilyn (Norbert) Moushey, Miriam Bolte and Charles Egan. Bob was a WWII veteran and member of St. Christopher parish. He loved to fish and golf; he was a longtime member of AA and a devoted sponsor to many members. The family will receive friends Wednesday November 7th, 2012 from 5-8 pm at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S.Dixie Drive, Vandalia, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday November 8th, at St. Christopher Church, 401 E. National Road, Vandalia. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia.
