Robert Burtner, Sr.

Robert Edwin Burtner, age 79 years old, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on August 19, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio, adopted as an infant by Elmer Edwin Burtner and Bonita A. (Engle) Burtner. He was a proud and long-time resident of Dayton, Ohio and a 1963 graduate of Fairview High School. Robert (Bob) enjoyed his long career as a news photographer for several local news stations. His most notable passion was the music of the 1950’s, & 60’s and he always knew the answers to any trivia question asked about the music and artists of that era. Bob was a member of the Irish Club of Dayton, the Corner Club and the VFW post 7741.

He is survived by his son, Robert Burtner, a daughter Rochelle Burtner and a granddaughter Macy Burtner, as well as many loving friends. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Mary Kathryn Burtner.
