Robert L Cartwright

CARTWRIGHT, Robert L., age 85, of Vandalia passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Grandview Hospital. He was born December 19, 1925 in Sligo, Pennsylvania, son of the late Ronald & Sarah R. Cartwright. Robert was a retired employee of the West Penn Power Company with 41 years of service, a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran, a member of the Polk Grove United Church of Christ and a former member of the Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church in New Kensington, PA. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Duane & Ralph, Robert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ethel (Welsh) of Vandalia; 1 daughter, Carol Sue Davila of Vandalia; 1 son, Robert A. & wife, Marilyn Cartwright of Florence, KY; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 27, at Polk Grove United Church of Christ, 9190 Frederick Pike, Dayton with Rev. John Fowler officiating.
