Robert Lee Glanzer

GLANZER, Robert Lee, age 81 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at Miami Valley hospital. He was born march 13, 1930 in Dayton, son of the late harry and Helen (Kistler) Glanzer. Robert was a retired employee of the L.C. Cassidy Insulation Co. and was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Howard and Don Glanzer. . Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Oma Glanzer; 1 son, Martin Glanzer; 3 daughters, Lynne and husband Edward Eidemiller, Robin and Husband Steve Wead, Diane VanHoose; 1 sister-in-law, Janet Pendergrass; 11 grandchildren, Amy, Kenny, Ben, Emily, Casey, Jennifer, Robert, Thomas, Brandon, Adam, Abbie; 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday July 26, 2011 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia, with the Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. Burial at Willowview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Morton and Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Monday evening from 5 to 8:00 PM.
