HUNT, Robert (Bob) Martin 81 of Vandalia, Ohio died suddenly on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. He was born on November 11, 1927 in Greenville, Ohio, the second son of William and Nellie (nee Boyce) Hunt. Bob lived most of his young life in Dayton and most of his adult life in Tipp City, Ohio. He moved to Vandalia several years ago. Bob was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during World War II, and a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He then began a long career as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John William Hunt. He is survived by his sister Barbara Shea and her adult children Fred Wasburn (Eileen) of Beckley, West Virginia and Mary Lou Washburn of Dayton; His brothers adult children Christine Hunt Miller (Tom) of Port Charlotte, FL, Carol Hunt of North Miami Beach, FL and Janice Hunt of Pembroke Pines, FL. The family will receive friends during visitation Monday Janusry 12 from 12:30 to 1:30pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. a short service will be held immediately following the visitation. Burial will be held at The Dayton National Cemetery.
