Robert "Hutch" Hutchison

HUTCHISON, Robert Barney “Hutch”, age 81 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton following an illness. Hutch was born March 18, 1935 in Grant County, KY, son of the late John Thomas “Barney” & Myrtle Tyler (Shoewalters) Hutchison. He was a retired maintenance painter at General Motors with 44 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ellen Hutchison, daughter, Christina Sue Hutchison; son, Robert A. Hutchison; 3 brothers, Harry Hutchison, John T. Hutchison & Franklin D.R. Hutchison. Hutch is survived by 3 sons, Michael & wife, Jacqueline Hutchison, Don & wife, Connie Hutchison, & Jeff & wife, Cindy Hutchison along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 29 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Native American Guy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Hutch’s memory.
