Robert K. Kastl

KASTL, Robert K., age 76 of Cedar Bluff, AL, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Rome, GA. Bob was born December 17, 1939 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Robert K. & Charlotte (Criss) Kastl. He was a retired driver with the Wonder Bread Company and a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #668, and a life member of the AmVets Post #99, where he served as Past Commander. Preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn, Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marcia (Rifkin); 2 sons, Kevin Kastl & wife, Beverly of Vandalia and Randy Kastl & wife, Tracy of Springboro; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Isaac & Heidi; 1 sister, Moneen Ann Stoliker of Dayton, along with a host of other relatives and very special friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, September 26 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Mark Batton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 pm until time of service.
