Robert F. "Bob" Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Robert F. Sr., "Bob", age 76 of Vandalia went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2013 after a short battle with leukemia. Bob was an avid golfer, loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather, and was cherished by all who knew him. Bob was born August 24, 1937 in Louisville, KY, son of the late Elmer & Vonna (Canon) Lawrence. Preceded in death by one grandson, Cole, Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon (Rieder); sons, Bob Jr., Greg & wife, Terrie, and Doug, his daughters, Lisa & husband, Eric Ney, Marina & husband, Ken Shepard, and Shelly & husband, Bryan Fleming; grandchildren, Lance, Gabe, Adam, Chloe, Kristen, Garrett, Abbey, A.J., Emma, Riley, Amelia, & Kelly. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 9 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Rd., Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at St. Christopher Church on Thursday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bob Lawrence Sr. Memorial Golf Scholarship, c/o of the Vandalia Butler Foundation, P.O. Box 722, Vandalia, OH 45377 in Bob's memory.
