Robert F. “Bob” Lawrence, Jr.

Age 51, of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Bob was born September 28, 1965 in Dayton to Robert F. (Sr.) & Sharon (Rieder) Lawrence.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2013.

Bob is survived by his mother; five siblings, Greg Lawrence (Terrie), Doug Lawrence, Lisa Ney (Eric), Marina Shepard (Ken) & Shelly Fleming (Bryan); and by 12 nieces & nephews.

Bobby was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. He was employed as a golf pro and has given golfing lessons to countless students. Everyone who knew him loved him. Bob’s favorite holiday was Christmas and he was known by his family & friends at “Bobby Claus.”

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday (7/5) at St. Christopher Church, 435 East National Rd., Vandalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Church. Rev. Fr. Francis Keferl will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Bob to the Bob Lawrence (Sr. & Jr.) Golf Scholarship Fund.
