Robert Wells

WELLS, Robert L., age 73, formerly of Northridge and Vandalia, passed away Friday, September 28, 2007 at Englewood Manor. Robert was born January 26, 1934 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Fredrick K. Wells & Louise Wells Staup. Preceded in death by his step-father, John Staup, 3 sisters, Shirley Thomas, Juanita Miller and Sandra Griffin, 4 brothers, Fred Wells Jr., Johnny Staup, Donald Staup and Delbert Staup, Robert is survived by 3 sisters, Phyllis Combs of Vandalia, Beverly Phillips of Vandalia and Linda Sowder (Bill) of TN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, October 2 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Mr. William Sowder officiating. Burial followed at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Robert Wells Memorial Fund. Donations may be made at any Fifth Third Bank location.
