Robert P. York

YORK, Robert P., age 61, of Vandalia passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 17, 1949 in Dayton, OH. Preceded in death by his father, Don W. York, Robert is survived by his mother, Alma A. York; brother, Donald York; nieces & nephews, Jeff, Scott, Dan & Laurie; great-nieces, Josie & Haley, great-nephew Jim; aunts & uncles, Ann & Keith Ochs, Bonnie Nienaber, Don Brown, Rudy York & Rick & Diana York. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 27 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S Dixie Dr., Vandalia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 pm until time of service. The family would like to thank Roberts caretakers, Jane & Bob Schlein and Larry Campbell as well as Hospice of Dayton for the compassionate care they all provided to Robert.
