Roberta "Bobbie" Townsend

TOWNSEND, Roberta W. "Bobbie" age 74 of Tipp City, passed away Saturday July 11, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 12, 1940 in Manchester, NH daughter of the late Myron C. and Germaine (Provost) Walker. Bobbie was a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church and formerly a member of St Christopher Catholic Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the CRHP Prayer Group, BUNCO and TWIGS. She enjoyed playing bridge and was active playing in many groups. Bobbie was an avid golfer and also enjoyed creating crafts, scrapbooking and making ceramics. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tiffany Townsend-Daniels. Bobbie is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Robert "Bob" Townsend; one daughter Tamara & husband Chris George and grandsons Noah and Nathan George of Troy; son-in-law Steve Daniels of Troy; 2 sisters Jacqueline and husband Richard Keller of NH, and Beverly & husband Doug Roberge of FL; special friends sister-in-law Kathy Sadlier, Brenda McGimsey of Cincinnati and Armand and Jackie Tremblay of Tipp City and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday July 22 at 10:00am at St Christopher Catholic Church 435 E. National Rd. Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Tuesday July 21 from 5-8pm.
