Robert "Bob" Hagler, Sr.

HAGLER, Sr., Robert “Bob,” 80, of Vandalia, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021. He was born to Robert & Mary Hagler on Apr. 6, 1941 in Stamford, Texas. Bob was retired from the U.S. Air Force after over 24 years of service that included service during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion #668, AMVETS #99 and Masonic Lodge #742, in Vandalia. Bob enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Linda Mead, and his brother, Kirby Hagler.

Survived by his sons, Robert K. Hagler, Jr. (Vicki) and Jim Hagler (Nicki); brother, Tim Hagler; sisters, Carolyn “Rose” Hagler and Elizabeth “Beth” Griffin; 11 grandchildren, James, Jessie, Kylie, Lindsay, Brooke, James, Amanda, Chad, Ethan, Ryan & Brennan; several great grandchildren.

Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2021 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Rev. Michael Malcosky, officiating. Cremation to follow.
