Roger L. Foust

FOUST, Roger L., age 70 of Vandalia, passed away Friday March 21, 2014 at Springmeade Health Center following an illness. Roger was born June 10, 1943 in Tennessee, son of the late Cecil and Mildred (Freeman) Foust. He was a retired Lieutenant from the Dayton Fire Dept. with 25 years of service and was a former member of the Vandalia Lions Club. Roger was a loving husband, and a devoted father and grandfather to his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sue; 2 sons Tony & wife Michelle of Vandalia and Rodney of Huntington Beach, CA; 3 grandchildren Jessica Lee, Christian Anthony, and Mason William; one sister Betty Jo and husband Dale Miller of Bellbrook; his father-in-law Lloyd Alcorn of Vandalia; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Judy & Mark Hennessey of Dayton; 3 nieces Heather, Kate, and Sarah and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 29 at 1:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11am to 1:00pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Vandalia Butler Food Pantry in Roger's memory.
