PARTINGTON, Roger L., age 97 of Cincinnati, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2010 at the Montgomery Care Center in Cincinnati. He was born January 8, 1914 in Sidney, OH, son of the late Mark E. & Dora (Yost) Partington. Roger was a member of the Sycamore Presbyterian Church of Cincinnati and worked for NAPA Auto Parts for over 43 years, retiring as Owner & Operator of the Vandalia NAPA Auto Parts store. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in 2002; granddaughter, Kathryn Smith; son-in-law, Thomas Bradrick; sister, Florence & brother, Myron, Roger is survived by 2 daughters, Anne Bradrick of Centerville and Janice & husband, Dale May of Cincinnati; 1 son, Mark Partington of Knoxville, TN; 14 grandchildren, David Bradrick, Janey Moore, Kristen Dotson, Peggy Moorman, Kelly Lucarelli, Barton Kaericher, Timothy McDonald, Karen Conley, Ashley Partington, Jacob, Joshua, Rebekah, Jeremiah, & Hannah May; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 25 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Dr. Lawrence Kent officiating. Graveside service will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Rogers memory. Roger was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
