Romie S. Conn, Jr.

Age 68, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Nov. 23, 2017 at his home in Heath, Ohio. Romie was born December 20, 1948 in Dayton to Romie S. Conn, Sr. and Virgie (Purnell) Conn. He was preceded in death by his mother; and by his grandparents, Robert & Pearlie Conn and Leslie & Georgia Purnell.

Romie was a U. S. Army veteran having served in Viet Nam and he went on to retire from the Department of Defense with 37 years of service.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Romie (Sr.) and Bertha Conn; brother, Paul Conn (Debbie); former wife, Pam Conn; and by his two nieces, Crystal Offill (John) and their children, Madison, Hadley & Jace, and Melanie Wright (Robert) and their son, Damian.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, December 4, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Pastor Tim Hamilton will officiate. Interment will be at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Romie to the American Cancer Society.
