Roy Richardson

RICHARDSON, Roy, age 82 of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Grandview Hospital. He was born March 29, 1936 in Estill County, KY, son of the late Vernon & Mamie (Miller) Richardson. Roy was a long-standing, faithful member of the First Pentecostal Church of Murlin Heights and was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired employee of the Chrysler Corp, retiring in 1999 after 31 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings, Roy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Imogene of Vandalia; 2 sons, Glenn Richardson & wife, Mindy and Steven Richardson & wife, Tricia; 6 grandchildren, Kelsie, Kayla, Riley, Addisyn, Taylor, and Sean; 2 brothers, Don and Lester Richardson; 4 sisters, Allina Laferty, Ruby Hamilton, Mary Black and Carol Hensley, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, April 27 at the First Pentecostal Church of Murlin Heights, 8921 N. Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH with Pastor Tim Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery, Butler Township. The family will receive friends at the First Pentecostal Church on Friday morning from 10:00 am until time of service. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the entire staff of Grandview Hospital for their compassionate care of Roy.
